From time to time you need to calculate voltage dividers using fixed resistors. The best pair using E series can be found here.

You have three possibilities to specify the ratio so you do normally not need additional computations.

E series: E12 E24 E96 E96+E24

I have seen that some ratios can be realized more precisely in E24 than in E96. That's why there is the option E96+E24, which contains all values from E96 and E24. 0.1% resistors, which are no longer really expensive these days, can usually be found in both series.
